Brent Dell'Art

visit the Brent de l’Art
It is a quiet walk, only the last stretches before the gorge are steep and a bit slippery, but the path is well set up with steps and wooden parapets. Hiking shoes required.

You must reach Sant’Antonio di Tortal (m. 550), a fraction of Trichiana (Belluno, left Piave). The town is easily reached from Trichiana following the signs for the Passo di San Boldo, or down from the San Boldo for those coming from the upper Treviso area.
From the only intersection in the center of the village a narrow road branches off to the west (also an indication of a sports field), exactly the opposite of the road that leads to the nearby church. You pass in the middle of a large farm and a few houses and continue through the fields, the road becomes a dirt road and ends at a small parking lot (just over a kilometer from the intersection).
It is also advisable to walk along the road starting from the town, along the route there are some panels illustrating the flora and fauna, as well as some geological phenomena concerning the area.

From the small car park continue for a few tens of meters in steep descent and take the first small road that turns to the left and that immediately becomes a good mule track. As you go along the little road, you turn into a little path that crosses some mown meadows and descends more steeply into the bush towards the bottom of the gorge. The difference in height from the car park is a hundred meters.

For photographers: probably the best time is between ten and eleven in the morning, when the sun partially illuminates the bottom of the gorge.
